Description
People’s Planet Project is a global movement with the aim to empower Indigenous communities to protect the world’s forests and its biodiversity through videos and geospatial data.
Combining storytelling, hard data, and legal action, we contribute to the fight for environmental protection and Indigenous rights in a novel way, which places Indigenous voices front and center. The ultimate goal is to use both videos and spatial data as irrefutable evidence of environmental destruction in courts that fight for the rights of Indigenous communities to live undisturbed on their forest territories, uphold environmental rights and preserve our planet’s biodiversity.
