How do I become a member?

Do I need to pay for a membership?
Membership to the platform is and will always remain free. At WaterBear, we think being inspired by different stories and perspectives should be available to all. Therefore, we offer all of our films for free. No need to worry about a subscription starting automatically, because we don’t even ask for your bank details. Happy watching!
I can’t remember my password, what should I do?
To reset your password, please visit https://waterbear.com/forgot-password and follow the instructions on the screen.
I have a new email address, what should I do?
If you registered using email and password, then navigate to your user profile to change your information. If you used Google, Facebook or Apple to register with WaterBear, then you will not be able to adjust your email address.
How do I unsubscribe from WaterBear newsletters?
At the bottom of each newsletter, you will find a link to unsubscribe (right under our social media details).
How do I cancel my membership?
You can delete your free account at any time from your member profile. Your profile can be accessed by tapping the profile icon in the top right hand corner. Please note, you may be asked to sign in again in order to complete the deletion request. In that case, please enter your login details and follow the deletion instructions a second time.
Watching WaterBear content
Can I use WaterBear on my mobile device?
WaterBear can be downloaded from the Apple app store or the Google Play store for Android devices. You can also access the WaterBear platform via a web browser.
How to use WaterBear on your Chromecast
WaterBear is accessible on compatible Chromecast devices in all regions where both WaterBear and Chromecast devices are available. For more information on connecting your Chromecast with your TV and WiFi network, please visit support.google.com/chromecast
How to use WaterBear with AirPlay
The WaterBear iOS app (Apple) comes with built-in AirPlay capabilities. Select a title you want to watch, tap the AirPlay icon in the video player, and select the device to which you want to stream. For additional help on using Airplay, please visit support.apple.com
How else can I watch WaterBear?
The WaterBear Channel is available on SamsungTV+ in Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, and The UK; on LG Channels in Australia and the UK; Rakuten TV in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, and The UK.
How can I watch with subtitles and/or closed captions?
One of our priorities at WaterBear is to make sure our content is accessible to all. Hence we are working hard behind the scenes to offer subtitle tracks for all films in different languages. When available, you can find the subtitle icon on the bottom right corner next to the sound icon of a film or series you are watching. Bear with us as we keep improving your experience!
How do I change the language in the app?
WaterBear is currently only available in English. In the future, we hope to open WaterBear to other languages. Keep an eye on our social media channels to get regular WaterBear updates.
Can I download content to watch offline?
You cannot download WaterBear content to watch offline at this time.
